Meet The Brookfield Staff

Veterinarians:

Dr. MarieDr Marie, our Cougar, graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University in 1992. After a year in mixed practice, Dr. Marie decided on small animal medicine and since then has enjoyed working on dogs, cats, and pocket pets. Dr. Marie is especially interested in feline medicine and internal medicine (e.g. managing diabetics, renal disease). When not in the office, Dr. Marie spends time with her three children, Colin, Olivia and Ciara. Making cookies and planting a vegetable garden are their favorite pastimes.

Dr.HowardDr. Howard hails from the Emerald Isle, but is pleased to call the Northwest home. He graduated in 1991 from the College of Veterinary Medicine, University College, Dublin. Since graduation, he has been working in the United States. First, he was an intern at Washington State University and then a resident at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Howard spent his time at these institutions perfecting his surgical skills, and that is his greatest area of interest in veterinary medicine. Dr. Howard is also fascinated by the latest advances in medicine, and hopes to keep his practice abreast of new technology, information, and equipment. When not at the helm of Brookfield Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Robinson spends his free time on the Internet, in his workshop or at karate.

Hospital Manager:

EmilyEmily has been in working in veterinary hospitals since 1997, and has been at Brookfield since 2002. She is currently our hospital administrator, and has worked in the past as both a veterinary nurse and receptionist at hospitals in Seattle and San Francisco. When not at Brookfield she enjoys spending time hiking, reading, and taking care of her five cats and miniature schnauzer, Calantha.

Client Relations:

ErinErin has been working with animals for her whole life, and has just recently stepped into the world of veterinary medicine. She has worked in a very busy dog daycare in Seattle with up to 80 dogs per day, so reading dog behavior is almost second nature! She has worked as a trainer, behavioralist, at shelters, in pet nutrition, grooming, and as a dog walker; but working at a veterinary clinic and learning new things in the field of medicine is definitely challenging and exciting. She is also licensed in American Red Cross Dog and Cat First Aid. She also is a strong advocate for Pitbull awareness and education; her own pitbull is a certified therapy dog and has taught at multiple awareness classes and childrenís camps with Erin at his side. In her spare time, Erin loves to hike with her dogs and travel to nowhere in particular.

ErinEvanne started working at Brookfield in November 2007. This is her first time working specifically with animals, but she has quickly found working in a veterinary hospital to be rewarding and fun! She aspires to eventually work in other departments of the natural sciences: geology especially interests her. Evanne's humor, creativity and style make her an enjoyable asset to her coworkers and clients alike. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her retriever mix, Stella, her new kitten, Doctor Buffalo, and her gigantic rabbit, Hazel.

Licensed Veterinary Technicians:

MaryPrior to joining the Brookfield team in January of 2006 Mary had spent ten years in the veterinary industry, becoming a licensed technician after five years. For the most part, you will see her in the treatment and surgery areas. She has a special interest in dentistry for which she has attended numerous seminars and continuing education classes, and is certified by the American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians. Mary's outside interests include spending time with her family, swimming, running, biking, hiking and golf. When not chasing her two busy toddlers you can find her experimenting in the kitchen (striving to be a world famous chocolatier!) or curled up with a good book.

AudreyAudrey joined Brookfield in September 2007. Prior to Brookfield, she worked as a veterinary assistant for 5 years and recently became a licensed veterinary nurse. Growing up, she enjoyed learning about animals at cat 4-H for 7 years. Now she loves watching her 2 kitties, Pacino and Squishy, play together. In her free time she loves to go out boating, baking and shopping.

Veterinary Nurses:

KristaKrista has been working at Brookfield Veterinary Hospital since September of 2000. Prior to Brookfield, she had two years of working as a veterinary assistant. Recently, Krista has stepped into the field of animal behavior, augmenting her talents at Brookfield as a veterinary nurse. She is now our resident behavior consultant although she still has the dirty work of taking your pet's temperature. If you are looking for puppy training, or even classes for your older dog, Krista is the official trainer of Clyde's Clues to Puppy Obedience classes. Krista is compassionate and always wears a smile. She spends most of her free time with her beloved Weimaraner, Clyde, and her goofy Golden, Grace. Otherwise you can find her at the barn with her horse or with a good book.

AngieAfter many years of being employed in various industries, Angie decided to follow her life-long dream of working with animals. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2006 with a Veterinary Assistant Certificate and is currently enrolled at Penn Foster to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Angie treats every day as a learning experience and truly loves all aspects of her new career. When not at Brookfield or studying, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her two dogs, (Annie & Chico) and five cats (Miles, Monk, BooBoo, Moxie & Polly). Her other interests include making jewelry, cooking, playing on computers, adding to her frog collection, watching old movies, and let’s not forget supporting NASCAR!
