Senior Pet Care

Senior Pet Care Senior pets make wonderful companions, but did you know they require a level of veterinary care different from younger pets? Because pets age faster than people, your pet is considered a "senior" around age seven. Older pets are susceptible to chronic conditions such as diabetes and hyperthyroidism and spotting the signs of these diseases early on results in better treatment and quality of life for your pet.

We recommend regular health screenings for senior pets, including complete blood counts, blood chemistry screenings, urinalysis and thyroid screenings. These tests help us better diagnose and treat diseases in their early stages. Our goal is to make sure you and your pet enjoy many happy years together.
