Carrie Wright

Dr. Carrie Wright joined our team at Brookfield in 2017 after relocating to the PNW from Reno, NV. She has always been passionate about animal care since volunteering at her first hospital at the young age of 12! She worked her way up from volunteer work to kennel duty to working at the teaching hospital at Colorado State. She pursued her undergraduate degrees at Colorado State and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from there as well in 1999.

After graduation, she moved to Oregon to practice and met her husband. They moved to Las Vegas for careers and rock climbing but after having children, relocated to Reno. Their ultimate goal however was to eventually head back to greener land and were recently granted that opportunity.

Dr. Wright enjoys everything about general practice but has a special interest and passion for surgery and dentistry. Preventative medicine, geriatric comfort, and good honest communication are a mainstay of her practice as well.

In her spare time, you can find Dr. Wright spending time with her family of 4 and her menagerie of animals. She has 2 busy boys, 3 dogs - Sidney (Golden Retriever), Toby (Mix), and Josie (Doberman), plus 2 cats - Piper (Tortoiseshell short hair) and Peter (Maine Coon). When she isn't cleaning up or chasing after her small zoo, they enjoy time outdoors hiking, climbing, and exploring. She also enjoys yoga and running to bring her sweat and peace, cooking, and crafting.
